 Wireless joypads.

 xbox%20controller.jpg

You wait your entire childhood waiting for wireless joypads, forever cursing tangled cables, and wishing they become standard. Then they do, and they sap away all the batteries in the house. Before long, you're back to your old ways and using joypads and wires you've come to despise.

Gah. Same problem with the Wii remote...

The Wii Remotes are the worst offenders, especially if you play with rumble/sound activated.

If i'm playing online with the Xbox I always use the corded controller- that way the headset is powered off the console, instead of my ever-shrinking battery supply.

Richard, a Quick Charge Kit or a Play and Charge Kit is unfortunately a necessity with the 360! I own both, and I think I prefer the Quick Charge, thats the little dock with two batteries in it - when that light starts flashing on the pad, I just swap them round.

As for the Wii Remote, I got some crappy one from HMV for £15. It looks pretty ugly (sits under my Wii instead of the grey stand), but hey, gets the job done.

I just go with rechargeable batteries. That's all those MS Quick Charge Kits are. But damn, they get sucked up quick.

The Xbox 360 D-pad annoys much more than the battery use.
