Castles and forests and mountains and probably, the way things are going atm, a giant Skyrim creation. A huge snowscape with towns and rivers and maybe even a dragon to terrorise all the minifigs :)

1. What is your favourite book?

I can’t narrow it down to one, so there’s three. The Stand by Stephen King, The Third Policeman by Flann O Brien and Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. All three have moments and scenes of supernatural horror, in particular The Stand. The other two are some of the most absurd/random books i’ve ever read and are very funny.

2. What is your favourite superhero name and power?

When it comes to comics, i’m a big DC person, but only because of the Batman franchise. I think not Batman, but Bruce Wayne himself is an interesting character, and that’s a fascination that continues down through the majority of the Robins that have been there as sidekicks. Scarecrow is probably my favourite villain. That his ‘power’ is the suggestion of fear excites me lots, and I think he’s a really clever, intelligent villain, that often gets forgotten.

3. What is one thing you would do if the world were to end tomorrow?

Spend a lot of time with the most important person in the world. If we’re all going I want to go together and see her before it happens.

4. Where is your favourite place in the world?

On Ailish. Not sexually, though that’s lovely too obviously, but just lying on her, resting together and taking it easy. Feeling happy, feeling warm and safe.

5. At what age do you think you will feel ‘grown up’?

I wondered this for a while, because, in my mind i’ve always felt like a teenager or that i’m just out of school, when this hasn’t been the case at all for the past five years. This year, more than ever though I have felt ‘grown-up’, and that’s largely resultant of the things that have happened to me this past year, things I wont go into.

6. If someone gave you £100,000 what is the first thing you would do with it?

Wonder what I would do with it and why that person gave it to me! Probably buy any old second-hand car, put down a deposit for a flat or a house, donate some to a lovely animal charity and then save the rest.

7. One instrument you’ve always wanted to learn to play?

When I was growing up I wanted to learn the bass guitar or drums. I never did, and now, I never want to. I’m not a musically-creative person.

8. Favourite video game character and why?

There’s lots of them, all usually for narrative reasons. I like Alyx Vance in the Half-Life 2 series. As an NPC you’ve got to protect her and escort her through the levels, but she’s her own character with her own hopes, goals, dreams and fears. That she’s female too makes it a little surprising, because she doesn’t fall into the same list of horribly-stereotyped/one-dimensional eye-candy and rather stands out fantastically. She’s genuinely interesting. It’s great writing.

9. Favourite toy from your childhood?

From my childhood and adulthood, it’s always been Lego. I like building castles and cityscapes, small stories, dioramas or vignettes- I can’t build vehicles for shit. I like the colours, the shapes, but more than that, the fact that Lego is both a creative and mathematical toy. It uses both sides of the brain.

10. Have you ever found a four-leafed clover?

I haven’t. I used to cheat when I was younger though and always pretended to myself that I had and wish anyway. The wishes never came true, but that was because it was never a genuine four leaf clover in the first place obviously :P

11. Favourite character/object from Portal and Portal 2?

Wheatley! Stephen Merchant does an awesome job as the voice actor. His animation and expressions are brilliant too, of course they are, but it’s the voice acting that makes the character I think. The same too for JK Simmons, Nolan North and Ellen Mclain’s involvement.

For the vest design you could use purple fabric/felt and sew it on, or fabric paints and paint it. Black/purple belt and ‘skirt’ attached to it. Purple boot covers like in original over top of the boot. and some purple vambraces/cuffs on each arm.

Excuse the bad drawing nothing, that was awesome! :D

I’ve got black cargo pants and boots already, so today I bought the vest. I’m going to visit BB&C this weekend for the felt or fabric, just see what they have really. From there i’ll be sewing it on- I like the emblem in your version so i’m probably going to attempt that, and maybe some loose belts or zips to to give it visual texture like in the movie version. The vambraces are a must though, definitely! Thanks.
